FMS Music: APR/May Update

We have managed to make it a full year without in-person learning and, even with the possibility of return and the excitement that comes from that, the last quarter of the school year is likely the hardest to buckle down and finish. It’s time to make that fourth quarter push! Even at a distance, we are preparing to send each of our students to the next grade level with all of the tools they need to be successful and still getting ready to welcome our new incomers from the elementary level.
Hemos podido manejar un año entero sin aprendizaje en persona, y aunque con la posibilidad de regresar y la emoción que viene de eso, el último trimestre del año escolar es el mas duro de sobrellevar y terminar.  ¡Es tiempo de hacer el empuje del tercer trimestre! Aunque a distancia, estamos preparando para enviar a cada uno de nuestros estudiantes al siguiente nivel de grado con todas las herramientas que ellos necesitan para triunfar y todavía preparándose para dar la bienvenida a nuestros nuevos estudiantes del nivel de la escuela primaria.

Some of the biggest news is that the District has followed through in getting the SmartMusic software for our students. Many class periods have been spent and emails have been sent out to make sure our students are all signed up and able to use this wonderful music practice and exploration resource. They should be using it as a part of their daily practice routine!
Una de las mas grande noticias es que el distrito ha avanzado en obtener la herramienta de la red SmartMusic (Música Inteligente) para nuestros estudiantes.   Muchas clases se han usado y correos electrónicos enviados para asegurar que todos nuestros estudiantes se hayan apuntado y puedan usar este maravilloso recurso de practica de música y exploración.  ¡Deben de estar usando esto como parte de su rutina de práctica diaria! 

Our Virtual VAPA Variety Night was delayed a bit to be able to prepare the digital presentation and we hope you were able to join us this time around! All of our Visual and Performing Arts students showed great creativity and form and I hope this even continues to grow! If you missed it, we will have a link available for parents and students to watch.
¡Nuestra Noche Virtual de Variedad VAPA se retraso un poco para poder preparar la presentación digital y esperamos que haya podido acompañarnos esta vez! ¡Todos nuestros estudiantes de las Artes Visuales y Presentación han mostrado gran creatividad y forma y deseo que esto siga creciendo! Symphonic and Concert Bands continue completion of their semester-long Folk Tune Research Project. We are on Part 3! Mr. White will still use Remind & teams to keep students up-to-date on deadlines!
Bandas de Concierto y Sinfónica continúan completando el Proyecto Investigación de Entonación Folclórica.  ¡Estamos en la parte 3! ¡El Sr. White seguirá usando Remind y teams para que los estudiantes puedan estar al tanto de las fechas de vencimiento!

SYMPHONIC BAND
Investing in the future of our program, leadership have prepared solos and presentations for our incoming 5th graders at Fillmore Elementary schools. They were great! Most of you have done a great job on our Festival performance piece! Mr. White will put the video together for you soon. Onto our Concert music!

Invirtiendo en el futuro de nuestro programa, los líderes de la Sección prepararon Solos y presentaciones para los que vendrán del quinto grado de las escuelas primarias de Fillmore. ¡Estuvieron maravillosos! Muchos hicieron un gran trabajo en nuestra pieza de presentación de Festival. El Sr. White pondrá pronto un video para ustedes. ¡Hacia nuestra música de Concierto!

CONCERT BAND
We are finishing out the school year by solidifying fundamentals, learning many more scales, and new techniques to make our music reading a lot easier. Our Concert pieces will challenge us to new styles and pitches as well! As always, students should be working on endurance with consistent practice.

Estamos terminando el año escolar solidificando fundamentales, aprendiendo muchas más escalas, y nuevas técnicas para hacer más fácil nuestra lectura de música.  ¡También nuestras piezas de Concierto nos retaran a nuevos estilos y lanzamientos! Como siempre los estudiantes deben estar trabajando en resistencia con constante práctica.

BEGINNING BAND/PERCUSSION/STRINGS
This last quarter will see each group hone in on the skills to take them to the next level. Scales, instrument techniques, and our Spring Concert Tunes will get them there only with daily practice! Remember that Office Hours are used for sectionals and for Mr. White to help individuals out on all skills. Mark your calendars to attend!

Este último trimestre mirara a cada grupo afilar las habilidades para llevarlos al siguiente nivel. ¡Escalas, técnicas de instrumento, y nuestro Concierto de Melodías de Primavera los llevara ahí solamente con práctica diaria! Recuerden que las Horas de Oficina se usan para los seccionales y para que el Sr White ayude individualmente en todas las habilidades. ¡Marque sus calendarios para asistir!
