FLUTE - Ann Erwin
Ms. Erwin welcomes students of all levels and ages. She has served as Assistant Professor of Flute at the University of Wyoming and the University of Tennessee. She was a member of the faculty at the 2008 Idyllwild Summer Chamber Music Festival, and is currently a faculty member of the Junior Chamber Music program. Member: MTAC, NFA, College Music Society. M.M. from USC, B.A. from UCSD.

My philosophy of teaching is to give students the tools they need to become fine horn players and musicians. Beyond that, I teach skills that they can apply to anything they want to do in life. These skills include; focusing, problem solving, creativity, leadership, achieving excellence, goal setting, time management skills, practice habits, and a love for learning new things. I am on the music faculty at California Lutheran University and am a music specialist for the Conejo School District.

FLUTE - Julie Burkett
Julie has maintained a private teaching studio for 40 years, and was previously on the faculty of Pepperdine University. She has been a freelance flutist since 1986, when she received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from California State University, Northridge. She has worked extensively in a wide variety of musical genres including Motion Picture and Television Recordings, Opera, Ballet, Symphony Orchestra, Musical Theater, and Chamber Music. Julie can be heard on dozens of Motion Picture and Television scores and has recorded with The Who, Childish Gambino, and other recording artists.

BRASS - Eitan Avineri
I am a professional trumpet player and music teacher LAUSD. I have taught private lessons for close to 30 years and have openings in my studio. I mainly teach brass, but also have taught beginning, flute, clarinet, and saxophone lessons. I have also done master classes in jazz improvisation. If you are looking for extra guidance outside of school, please contact me. I can do remote lessons as well as in-person lessons in Fillmore.
