All-Southern Ensembles - SCSBOA

The All-Southern Honor Ensembles are held in February each year in conjunction with the Southern California Band & Orchestra Association's Music Education Conference annual convention now in Riverside, California. Beginning the previous fall, several thousand middle school students from schools throughout the region audition each year for an opportunity to participate in one of the SCSBOA Honor Ensembles. The highest-ranking musicians judged qualify to perform in one of California All-Southern Bands and/or Orchestras. These All-Southern ensembles rehearse for three days, directed by nationally recognized conductors, and perform throughout the days of the annual SCSBOA Music Education Conference.
